Dong energy signs 5 year contract |
|
We are pleased to announce that DONG Energy Power A/S a wholly owned
subsidiary of DONG Energy A/S have awarded a 5 year contract to
Offshore Wind Power Marines Services Limited for the supply of two wind
farm service vessels for its O&M strategy on the Gunfleet Sands Offshore
Wind Farm based in Brightlingsea, Essex. This award increases our
presence in the outer Thames area where we have another vessel working
on the Gunfleet Sands project, which is based in Ramsgate, Kent.
Strategically speaking having vessels operating either side of the
Thames allows us to gear up for the London Array project, being led by a
consortium made up of DONG energy, E.ON & Masdar, and is located midway
between the Essex and Kent coasts. The advantage of operating long term
in this area allows us to offer potential contractors valuable local
knowledge and experienced crews. |

| OWPMS
orders new Rapid Response Vessel |
| Due to demands
for a cost effective multi purpose high speed response/standby vessel
OWPMS have placed an order with South Boats Special Projects for a 12m
GRP catamaran. This vessel will mirror our current configuration
enabling it to carry 12 pax, but being lighter will attain speeds of
30kts replacing the RIB concept. The vessel will retain all the sea
keeping abilities of our 15.5m aluminium vessels and is not designed as
a replacement to such vessels. These new vessels are designed to offer
the client a more cost effective solution on sites requiring multiple
vessels for O&M as well as construction where a fast response vessel is
required to convey equipment and passengers. These new vessels will be
more fuel efficient, important during these days of high fuel costs and
will emit lower carbon emissions. For further details please call us to
discuss your requirements. |
