Us:
Offshore Wind Power Marine Services™
was formed because of a growing need for dependable offshore wind farm
support vessels (WFSV) throughout the UK and Europe. Formerly known as Sea Charter Services,
we have over 35 years experience in the charter
business. We were originally involved with the
construction of the UK's first large scale offshore wind farm project at
North Hoyle built during 2003. We continue to maintain a presence at North
Hoyle for logistical purposes. Our success to date has been built on our
track record of delivering a reliable and professional service, which makes
us one of the world's leading service providers in the renewables industry.
Recently OWPMS joined up with the Brook
Henderson Group, a mission critical asset company who has pledged financial
support to the tune of around £60 million so we can develop and build new
vessels exclusively driven by client input. This investment will allow us to
provide our customers with the latest specifications, vessel types, access
systems and research into round 3 projects including offshore operating
bases. Newly appointed commercial director Rob Stewart said "we are looking
at this industry from the future rather than organically growing from the
past. The designs of vessels, access systems, fleet structures and crew
training needs to be rationalised as part of an integrated approach focusing
on safe, cost effective and reliable access to turbines. We've
appointed some of Europe's top marine engineers and architects who will work
closely with us and our in house engineering company to find new solutions
that will take us through the next decade of renewable construction. As a
company who believes in attaining high standards we are currently preparing
for ISO standards".
Our success can be measured by the number
of quality companies throughout Europe who have used our professional
services. As a result of our commitment to developing new ideas to aid
contractors and operators alike we are sure our services will continue be at
the forefront of offshore project development. We operate to the highest safety levels and
crew certifications, and have been audited by Shell, BHP Billiton, Van Oord
Offshore, Siemens, Dong energy, npower renewables, ABB Power Technologies,
Vestas Offshore, MT Hojgaard, Nobel Denton BOMEL Ltd.
